ID 444: Special Features in PEP

Special features are product and/or process characteristics that may have an impact on the functional safety (operational safety and safety in use), compliance with official regulations, function, performance, ft, appearance or further processing of the product. Special features are a mandatory requirement for companies in the automotive industry resulting, among other things, from IATF 16949. The VDA volume Process Description Special features explains the recommended procedure for this.

 

Aim

By this training:

  • You will be familiar with the theoretical foundations of Special features.
  • You will be able to explain relevant terms and their meaning in the context of Special Features.
  • You will be familiar with the VDA-compliant procedure.
  • You will understand the benefits and design options of Special features.

Content

Virtual technical presentation to convey the contents. In addition, there will be an opportunity to clarify questions and discuss possible implementation strategies.

Target audience

Project managers, project staff, executives, auditors and interdisciplinary staff in development, testing, planning, production and quality management as well as staff involved in the definition and verification of Special Features.
